PIN. Children’s Day on June 28, 2026

Pinakothek der Moderne und Museum Brandhorst

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the PIN. Friends of the Pinakothek der Moderne and Museum Brandhorst invite families to the PIN. Children’s Day at Munich’s Kunstareal. Children and teenagers aged 3 to 17 can look forward to a colorful day full of art, music, movement, and creative discoveries. With free admission and no registration required, the Kunstareal will become a vibrant place of experiences for the whole family, featuring numerous hands-on activities, workshops, and special highlights both indoors and outdoors.

For more than ten years, PIN. has been committed to introducing children and young people to art and culture from an early age. Following the great success of the first edition in summer 2024, which attracted around 14,000 visitors, the PIN. Children’s Day is increasingly establishing itself as one of Munich’s largest family-oriented cultural events. The event also highlights the diversity of the educational programs for children and young people supported year-round by PIN. at the Pinakothek der Moderne — from PIN.A and PIN.K to LooPIN.g, each designed for different age groups — as well as the Factory at Museum Brandhorst. Through creative hands-on activities such as “Instagrammable Postcards” and photography workshops, a screen-printing studio, and family tours, the event demonstrates how museums and their outdoor spaces can become open places for cultural participation, encounter, and creative practice.

Highlights of the Day

  • Creative art workshops
  • Street art with Loomit
  • Sports and games with ZAM AKTIV from FC Bayern Munich
