FACTORY - CREATIVE LABORATORY IN THE MUSEUM
The "Factory" at Museum Brandhorst combines the potentials of analog and digital art education. It is conceived as an open, hybrid creative workshop, a place for art production and exchange - with an art education room in the museum and an online platform.
an online platform. The programs aim to inspire enthusiasm for contemporary art and offer space for experimentation with artistic techniques - completely independent of location and time. All programs are developed in a participatory manner and focus on the needs of students and teachers.
The project is part of "dive in. Program for Digital Interactions" of the German Federal Cultural Foundation, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) in the NEUSTART KULTUR program. "dive in" supports present-oriented cultural institutions in the development of mediation offers that test new forms of digital interaction and participation.

Teens Summer School aspires to be a catalyst for teens between 13 – 17 using multimedia tailored to their lives.
The aim of the project, using a multimedia approach adapted to the lives of the target group of 13-17 year olds, is to motivate and break down inhibitions regarding the museum as institution. The everyday life of many teens, influenced by school, computer games, social media and video portals, often lacks the encouragement to apply their own creativity and critically examine art and culture.
Multimedia will be integrated into the program which focuses on the teens’ interests. Film, sound and design, accompanied by impulses from the four museums of the Pinakothek der Moderne, animate the young participants to explore their own creativity.
