A COMPLETE SUCCESS: THE PIN. AUCTION 2024
Successful PIN. Charity Auction raises 2.4 million euros for art and culture
With the motto “Hands up for Art”, this year's PIN. Benefit Auction, we were able to achieve a record result of 2.4 million euros. Thanks to the many committed bidders from all over the world, the Pinakothek der Moderne, the Museum Brandhorst and numerous artists and galleries can continue to be supported in the future.
Thirty works were knocked down in the live auction during a festive dinner. Robert Ketterer, who was already swinging the hammer for the fifth year, created an exciting atmosphere and impressive results in the Rotunda. The top lot of the evening was the magnificent work “La Fenêtre” by the immensely sought-after young artist Tschabalala Self, which achieved the highest price with a hammer price of 260,000 euros.
We, the PIN. Freunde and the directors of the museums are grateful, enthusiastic and deeply moved by the bidding enthusiasm of the more than 400 guests and the magical atmosphere that took hold in the rotunda of the Pinakothek der Moderne that evening - an unforgettable closing of ranks between friends.
